In the early stages of Parkinson's disease, you may hardly notice your symptoms and lead a full and active life for many years. But as time goes on, you and those who care for you may need more help and support.
Finding it harder to get around and do everyday activities is frustrating and upsetting, and it's understandable to feel anxious and fed up. Many people find that talking about their concerns to family, friends, trained counsellors or therapists, or other people with Parkinson's disease makes them feel better. It can also help with finding practical solutions to everyday problems.
